Poster & Presentation

Shared decision-making for the first prosthesis offers a solution for improving low psychosocial and physical outcomes among individuals with lower-limb amputation. Developing effective shared decision-making resources for the first prosthesis design requires an assessment of decisional needs of prosthetist and new prosthesis users, and testing of the resource for accuracy, comprehensibility, and usability with end users. The purpose of this work was to 1) describe the development of a shared decision-making resource for the first prosthesis design, and 2) describe key features of the resource.
